Rapert Slams AFL-CIO Endorsement of Johnny Hoyt

Bigelow, AR – Arkansas State Senate candidate and small business owner, Jason Rapert, released the following statement regarding the endorsement of his opponent , Johnny Hoyt, by the AFL-CIO. Rapert and Hoyt are vying for the open 18th District seat.

Rapert: “Today the AFL-CIO added Johnny Hoyt to its list of endorsements. Hoyt sits alongside other candidates such as Joyce Elliott and Bill Halter as the candidate of choice for this far left group. The AFL-CIO continues to back President Obama’s job killing policies, from the health care reform to card check legislation. In the worst economy since the great depression, Johnny Hoyt should be telling the voters of Senate 18 that he will stand against the AFL-CIO and their policies. Instead, he has chosen to accept their endorsement and approve of their failed strategies that make it harder for everyday Arkansans to make a living.

“Further, Arkansas is a right to work state and the AFL-CIO is doing everything they can to change this. Johnny Hoyt needs to tell the voters of this district where he stands. Will he renounce the policies of Obama and the AFL-CIO or will he stand with the hard working Arkansans that are struggling in the Obama economy? His endorsement from this far left group affirms the former.”
