Reconstructing State Highway 391 and Interstate 40 Interchange Requires Temporary Lane Closures

Reconstruction of the State Highway 391 and Interstate 40 Interchange (Galloway Exit 161) requires temporary lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the eastbound and westbound outside lanes of I-40 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. between the Interstate 440 interchange and the E. Valentine Road overpass starting on Tuesday night, June 26 and continuing through Thursday night, June 28.

There will also be intermittent closures of the exit ramps, with exiting traffic being detoured to I-440 and U.S. Highway 70 back to State Highway 391. Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
