Blanchard Springs Caverns, located 15 miles northwest of Mountain View, Ark., near the town of Fifty Six, Ark., will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1.
Tours through the Dripstone level of the Caverns will run as usual on Wed., Dec. 24, with set tour times at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. Other tours may be added as needed. Tours will begin again on Saturday, Dec. 27.
Blanchard Springs Caverns is normally open five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Caverns’ Visitor Information Center is open from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Visitors can watch an informative movie and tour the exhibit hall, which describes what they will see underground at the caverns. Books, gifts, and other items are available for purchase at the Eastern National gift shop. For additional information and current schedules, please call the Caverns at 870-757-2211.
