Myers was the 15th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, leading the U.S. military through four years of tumultuous change on the international and domestic stage. From our engagement in Iraq and Afghanistan to the military’s heroic role following Hurricane Katrina, Myers was the principal military adviser to the president, the defense secretary, and the National Security Council in his role as Joint Chiefs chairman.
