Saint Louis Brass, one of the nation’s most esteemed brass quintets, will perform Oct. 7, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the Administration Auditorium, where tickets will be sold for $3 at the door.

Saint Louis Brass was founded in 1964 and has played in more than 2,700 engagements since their establishment. They have also performed internationally in countries like Norway, India, Japan, Mexico, Germany and Sweden.

The group features Allan Dean and Ray Sasaki playing trumpet, Thomas Bacon playing the horn, Melvyn Jernigan playing trombone, and David Perantoni playing the tuba. They are known for the lively nature of their performances and their lighthearted musical banter.

Their upcoming show at Harding will include pieces entitled “Tribute to Pops”, “Wolfgang’s Frolics” and “Animal Ditties.”

The Saint Louis Brass concert is a part of Harding University’s Classical Lyceum Series, which has been bringing talented musicians to campus for more than 50 years. For more information, call 501-279-4343.
