Second Friday Frolic Features Country Christmas in Downtown Batesville Dec 14

Once again, the Simply Southern House Band will help us celebrate the holidays, bringing great music to downtown when the popular band, featuring Randy and Stephanie Wade, Allen Stiener, and Debbie Cochran, are joined by Nick and Katrina Fudge and Sharon Grady to present a Country Christmas show that will get you in the Christmas spirit for sure. The Simply Southern Playhouse Music Hall is located at 201. E. Main St. The doors open at 6 p.m. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended.  The music begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Concessions are available.

 The Batesville Area Arts Council will not be open for Second Friday but will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with plenty of great artistic Christmas gifts in a wide range of prices. The Batesville Area Arts Council Gallery is located at 246 E. Main St.

 Fox Creek BBQ, located at 129 Lawrence in the old Railroad Depot Station, will also feature free live music from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. along with its award-winning BBQ, and for the first time will also offer crab legs and shrimp. Elizabeth’s Restaurant at 231 E. Main is famous for their tropical chicken salad, lemon chicken, reuben sandwiches, blackberry cobbler, and homemade yeast rolls served with honey butter.

 Second Friday Frolic is a project of Main Street Batesville with the support, cooperation, and promotional assistance of Bob Pest Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations, Batesville Area Arts Council, Independence County Public Library, Simply Southern Playhouse Music Hall, Elizabeth’s Restaurant, Fox Creek BBQ, and many downtown businesses.
