Smotherman Named Interim SCMC Administrator

Jody Smotherman, Pharm. D., White River Health System (WRHS) Chief Strategy Officer, has been named Interim Administrator at Stone County Medical Center (SCMC).  As Interim Administrator, he will be responsible for overall operations at SCMC.


Smotherman has been with WRHS for 18 years. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry/Pre-pharmacy at Lyon College, earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), and a Masters of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.
Smotherman has served in numerous leadership roles at WRHS including Director of Pharmacy in 2006, Director of Quality and Case Management in 2010, Associate Administrator of Graduate Medical Education (GME) in 2015, Vice President of Community Engagement in 2019, and his current position as Chief Strategy Officer. He will continue to serve as WRHS Chief Strategy Officer while working at SCMC.
