Southern Bank of Batesville to Break Ground May 31

Although Southern Bank has only served the Batesville and surrounding communities since 2010, Southern Bank has strong roots in America’s Heartland. The bank was originally chartered by the State of Missouri in 1887 and converted from a state-chartered stock savings and loan association to a federally chartered stocking savings in 1995. In 1998, the Bank converted it charter to a state chartered stock savings bank. Finally, in 2004, the Bank converted to a state chartered trust company with banking powers.

Currently, Southern Bank has six branch locations throughout Arkansas, including Batesville, Paragould, Jonesboro, Brookland, Searcy and Leachville.  In addition, Southern Bank has four branches in Poplar Bluff, and a branch in Kennett, Doniphan, Dexter, Van Buren, Sikeston, Matthews, Springfield and Qulin for a grand total of 18 branches to serve your financial needs.  Southern Bank is currently expanding its footprint in the Jonesboro and Batesville communities along with plans for Searcy underway.
