Southside of Independence County City Hall closing Beginning Monday

With the news of the need to control the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Southside wants to take a proactive role in helping to ensure the health and well-being of our residents and volunteers.

Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, Southside City Hall will be closed to the public.  This is in response to the Presidents and the Center for Disease Control’s recommendation to limit public contact.

As always, practice good preventative measures:  wash your hands, avoid contact with sick people, don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, and avoid touching areas frequently touched by the public (doors handles, light switches, faucets, toilet handles.)  If you become sick, stay at home, avoid contact with others and keep frequently touched surfaces wiped with cleaners.

If you need help from the officials at Southside City Hall, please call 870-569-1550 and leave a message or email us at cityofsouthside@gmail.com.  We will answer your inquiries in a timely manner.  For urgent needs, you may call Mayor Ray Bowman directly at 870-613-48
