Southwest Forest Products Expo August 7-8 in Hot Springs

Plan to attend the Southwest Forest Products Expo August 7-8 at the Hot Springs Civic & Convention Center – one of the best indoor logging and forestry equipment & service showcases in the region. Located in Hot Springs  – one of Arkansas’ premier resort destinations, there is a lot to do on and off-site.

The Southwest Forest Products Expo once again houses under one roof some of the most innovative equipment, machinery, supplies and high-tech devices on the market today from trusted name brands and service-oriented reps – spanning three exhibition halls and the Summit Arena. In addition to the exhibits, there are other enticements for attending. The ATPA is offering Ark Pro Logger continuing education credits for participating in the show, and there are two workshops scheduled to coincide with the Expo: Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the conservation of water quality, scheduled for Friday afternoon, August 7 and Logger Rescue/Chainsaw Safety training scheduled for Saturday morning, August 8. There will also be a live auction, with proceeds funding the ATPA scholarship fund. Of course many dealers and exhibitors are offering their own individual contests and drawings.

The Southwest Forest Products Expo is fun for the whole family. Be sure to catch check out the SWFP Expo Toilet Races, yes we said Toilet Races! – where children of all ages, or adults young at heart, can test their skills and endurance at racing a loo!

Doors open at Noon on Friday, again at 8 am on Saturday, and adults pay only $5 per person to attend the entire weekend; children under 16 are free!

The Southwest Forest Products Expo is sponsored by the Arkansas Timber Producers Association and underwritten, in part, through a grant from the EPA, Region 6, overseen by the NRCS and administered by the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
