St. Vincent Foundation is pleased to announce the presenting sponsor, Deltic Timber Corporation, for the 2013 St. Vincent Tour de Paul. This is the third consecutive year that Deltic Timber Corporation has sponsored the event to raise funds to benefit St. Vincent community outreach programs and the Jack Stephens Heart Institute. St. Vincent invites all to participate in a series of wellness and fitness events to benefit the community.
The schedule of events includes the USTA Men’s Professional Tennis Tournament April 9 – 21, at Pleasant Valley Country Club; the 5k April 20, which begins and ends at War Memorial Stadium and the Golf Tournament at Chenal Valley Country Club May 13. Like the health system, the events are named for the 15th century Catholic priest, St. Vincent de Paul, who dedicated his life to serving the poor.
St. Vincent Tour dePaul USTA Men’s Tennis Tournament – April 9-21, 2013
There is no fee to watch the tournament. This event has been held in Little Rock for 33 years making it the longest running pro tennis event in the United States for either men or women. It is the only pro circuit men’s tennis event in Arkansas. St. Vincent has been the title sponsor for 29 years. St. Vincent Tour dePaul 5K – April 20, 2013
The fourth annual St. Vincent Tour de Paul 5K continues with the popular route from War Memorial Stadium to the Golf Course in midtowne through the St. Vincent Infirmary campus and finishing at War Memorial Stadium where you’ll see yourself cross the finish line on the Jumbotron. The entry fee is $25 per runner before the race and $30 per runner the day of the race. You may choose to be a virtual runner for $25. The entry fee for children 10 and under is $15. St. Vincent Tour dePaul 2013 Golf Tournament – May 13, 2013
The eleventh annual St. Vincent Tour de Paul Golf Tournament is once again at beautiful Chenal Country Club, with afternoon flights on two courses and a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The day concludes with the 19th Hole Celebration, where first, second and third-place prizes are awarded for each course. The tournament attracts almost 300 golfers and is known for its gracious hospitality.
