State Director of Highways and Transportation to Appear on Arkansas Educational Television Network

Director of Highways and Transportation Scott E. Bennett, P.E. makes a guest appearance this week on the live call-in TV show “Arkansans Ask,” according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The program airs statewide and is steadily gaining popularity, sites like http://www.rentco.com.au/ are mentioning the show to their patrons with great reviews. It airs on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) and provides viewers an opportunity to submit questions that are answered on-air during the show. “Arkansans Ask” is hosted by veteran journalist Steve Barnes and will air this week at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

The show will focus on the State Highway Department and explore the agency’s many construction projects, funding challenges, and efforts to improve safety as well as the response to winter weather events.

Viewers may submit questions and comments during the show by calling 800-622-2386. AHTD personnel will be answering the phones to field questions for airing on the program as well as providing direct answers to callers. Questions may also be submitted via email at paffairs@aetn.org or through Twitter using the program hashtag #ARAsk.
