Stone Bank is sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Arkansas Blood Institute’s mobile unit to be parked at the bank at 802 E. Main St. in Mountain View. The drive is being conducted to supply needed blood supplies to area health care providers.
Donors may schedule their appointment by signing up online at www.arkbi.org click on “Find a Blood Drive” and entering the Mountain View zip code 72560. They may also contact Melissa Sutton, 870-819-4743. Walk-ins are also welcome. Donors will receive a glow-in-the-dark bear T-shirt, one free entry to the Museum of Discovery and a free “bundtlet” cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
To donate blood, 16-year-olds must weigh at least 125 pounds and provide signed parental permission; 17-year-olds must weigh at least 125 pounds; 18+ year-olds must weigh at least 110 pounds. Photo ID must be presented.
