Successful use of social media topic for NCVN meeting May 19

       “Using Social Media: Strategies for Success” will be the topic for the North Central Volunteer Network (NCVN) brown-bag lunch meeting at 12 noon on Thursday, May 19th, in the George Ryder Room of the First Community Bank, 1325 Harrison Street (corner of St. Louis and Harrison)  in Batesville.

      Anthony McAdoo, Senior Director of Alumni Programs (Arkansas Alumni Association) at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville will be the guest speaker.  Whether you post on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, Mr. McAdoo will provide guidance on best practices and strategies for success when taping into the world of social media to promote your organization. Time will also be given for general discussion.

      Mr. McAdoo has been with the University of Arkansas for over 10 years and serves as the deputy director for the 25,000+ member alumni association.  In his role he oversees all alumni programming including alumni groups, special events, travel programs, volunteers and career networking.  He recently received his doctorate in higher education from the University of Arkansas.
