The Conway Public School’s La Fiesta Orquesta Dinner, also known as the annual Taco Supper Fundraiser, promises to be a night of great food, fun and music. The annual event, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bob Courtway Middle School, benefits the Conway Public Schools orchestra program.
Throughout the evening, orchestras from six Conway campuses will perform pops and classical pieces. The orchestras performing at the event represent Simon and Ruth Doyle intermediate schools, Bob Courtway and Carl Stuart Middle Schools, and the Conway High School East and West campuses.
Along with dining and music, those attending can bid on a variety of items during a silent auction, most donated by local businesses.
The Taco Supper is the group’s main fundraiser. All proceeds go to the growing orchestra program that now has over 270 students under the direction of three staff members. Orchestra funds provide music scholarships and help with extras, including educational trips to hear nationally-recognized symphonies.
The public is invited and encouraged to enjoy the music and show your support for the Conway Public Schools Orchestras.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for a cheese nacho meal for children under 12, and may be purchased at the door.
