The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management received damage reports for April 13, 2018

NORTH LITTLE ROCK— The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management received damage reports from multiple counties as a result of the severe weather event that occurred April 13, 2018. At least two tornadoes were reported by law enforcement during this event.

Ashley County – Multiple power outages were reported across the county.

Baxter County – A rehabilitation center reported a ruptured gas line. The residents were evacuated. At least 90 evacuations were reported across the county. Multiple power outages reported across the county.

Conway County – Multiple power outages were reported across the county.

Cleburne County – Multiple power outages were reported across the county. The City of Greer’s Ferry reported multiple downed trees. Damage was reported to outbuildings in the Prim area.

Crawford County – A tornado impacted the City of Mountainburg resulting in damage to multiple residences. Three people were trapped inside their homes and were later rescued. Four people were transported to local hospitals. Approximately 160 structures are damaged. More than 2,000 power outages have been reported across the county.

Faulkner County – The University of Central Arkansas reported storm damage across the campus. 30 students were evacuated from Carmichael Hall to another residence hall.

Franklin County – Multiple power outages have been reported across the county.

Howard County – Several roads were blocked due to downed trees and power lines. Multiple power outages have been reported across the county.

Perry County – Multiple roads were blocked due to downed trees.

Polk County – The County Sheriff reported a tornado at the Shady Lake Camp Ground resulting in minor damages to campground structures. Multiple power outages have been reported across the county.

Sebastian County – Multiple power lines are down across the county.
