The First annual “Independence County Lights” Holiday Lighting Contest

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and The Home Depot are partnering in the first annual “Independence County Lights” holiday lighting contest. Enter your home (or your friend’s or neighbor’s home) and/or business, and find out if you have the most holiday spirit!
 
An award will be given for  each of the following categories:
Best of Show–Do you have what it takes to earn this prestigious holiday title?
Animated–Anything goes, so long as it moves! That includes you synchronized music/light show lovers!
Religious–However you celebrate your holiday season, display it in lights, and win your bragging rights!
Business–Great advertising opportunity, anyone?
Best Street–Don’t be the spoiler! Make a team effort and be the best lit street in Independence County!
The Griswald–Forget the electricity bill for now! It’s lights galore for this category!
First place in each category will receive a lawn sign and media recognition!
 
The competition is open to anyone living within Independence County limits. There is a $10 entry fee. You may choose up to two categories in which your home or business will be judged. The deadline for entering is Nov. 30.
 
Judging will take place Dec. 3 through Dec. 7. Judging panel decisions are final.  Maps of entries and winners will be available for pick Dec. 7.
 
Registration forms can be found at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, The Home Depot on Harrison St. in Batesville, or the Batesville City Hall.
