The Annual Stone Bank Veterans Appreciation Day event is set for Oct. 14 at Stone Bank at 802 E. Main St. in Mountain View.
The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will honor twelve Stone County Veterans with a presentation of flags flown over the U.S. Capitol, facilitated by the office of Sen. John Boozman. Local musicians, the Ozark Strangers will provide entertainment.
Congressman Rick Crawford is scheduled to be in attendance to present the flags. Crawford and Colonel (U.S. Army, retired) Nathaniel “Nate” Todd, State Cabinet Secretary for the Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs, will be featured speakers at the event.

The program will recognize local Veterans and pay tribute to fallen Veterans. The Veterans and their years of service to be recognized and presented with a flag include:

A complimentary barbeque lunch prepared by Stone Bank Director Dr. Roger Helms and the Stone Bank Mountain View staff will be served to attendees.
