Voluntary water conservation in effect immediately for Heber Springs water

May 23, 2012 – ALL CUSTOMERS SERVICED BY HEBER SPRINGS WATER UTILITY

Two filter units at the water treatment plant are currently being repaired. Until these repairs are complete, the water treatment volume will be limited. To ensure adequate water for all Heber Springs, Mountain top and Tumbling Shoals customers, the utility has called for a voluntary conservation order, effective immediately. If water usage is not sufficiently reduced, the utility may be required to call for a mandatory conservation order. All customers are also urged to practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes. We hope to achieve normal water treatment production by mid-June.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Please report all leaks immediately to Heber Springs Water Utility at 501-362-3422 or 501-362-5501, and check the utility website www.heberspringswater.com for updates or changes in the water schedule. For water conservation tips, visit www.epa.gov/watersense.
