WhiteCounty MedicalCenter associates have selected Mary Worsham, RN, as the Associate of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2013. WCMC administrative representatives recently surprised her with the announcement.
Worsham is a nurse in the Critical Care Unit and has worked at the hospital for 28 years. “I was very shocked to have been chosen as Associate of the Quarter,” Mary said. “It is a wonderful honor to be recognized for the care I give our patients; everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I thank everyone, especially my co-workers, for such an honor. I am humbled, honored and appreciative to have been selected.”
Attributes of the Associate of the Quarter include high values, a positive attitude and sense of professionalism. Mary reflects the core values of the hospital: integrity, teamwork, compassion, excellence, stewardship, innovation and servanthood.
The following comments were made by fellow associates who nominated her: “Mary always communicates well with associates from all departments; She always thinks through all possibilities for exceptional care; Mary always communicates well with patients and their families; She guides others and builds their confidence; Mary never gets frazzled and takes care of any issues that may arise; Regardless of how busy we may be, Mary groups all departments together to ensure all of the patients’ needs are met.”
