WCMC Announces New Board Member

White County Medical Center has announced Leah Miller as the newest member of the hospital’s Board of Directors. As a native of Judsonia, she has seen the hospital transform over the years into the network of campuses and clinics it includes now.

“Leah is highly knowledgeable about our hospital, and we are so pleased that she has joined the Board of Directors,” said WCMC President/CEO Ray Montgomery. “As a member of the White County Medical Foundation Board of Directors since 2006, she and her husband Donnie were very active in garnering support to help build the Cancer Center of Excellence.”

“It is a great honor to be asked to serve on the White County Medical Center Board of Directors,” Mrs. Miller said. “I learned at an early age when my Mother received a breast cancer diagnosis, the impact that a health crisis has not only on the patient, but also their family. Throughout her journey, our family realized the need for quality medical care, as well as the importance of dealing with the emotional aspect of the disease. From this experience, I have always been aware of the blessing of good health and what it means to a person’s quality of life.”

“Through serving on the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2006, I have seen firsthand how dedicated the administration and staff are to making healthcare possible for each individual,” she added. “From prevention and wellness to end of life issues, White  County Medical  Center strives to provide the best care possible. Since its beginning, many people before us have faced challenges, worked hard and realized the impact and influence that White County  Medical Center brings to our county and surrounding areas. We have a rich heritage, and I hope that by serving on the Board, I can continue in their tradition and honor their vision of improving lives by providing quality care.”

As the governing body of the hospital, the White County Medical Center Board of Directors oversees the operations of the hospital and represents seven geographical regions of White  County. Mrs. Miller joins Mitchell Hamilton, Keith Feather, Jim Wilson, Cleve Treat, Marvin Delk and Eugene McKay as they continue their service on the White County Medical Center Board of Directors.
