WCMC NLC Delivers Record Number of Twins

09.11.13 WCMC Delivers Record Number of Twins (3)

The New Life Center at White County Medical Center (WCMC) experienced a baby boom in August, as a record number of twins were born throughout the month.

“A total of six sets of twins were born in the New Life Center, which has never happened,” said New Life Center Director Tracy Bolton, RN. “We had four sets of twins born within a five-day span in mid-August, and three of those were born in a 24-hour period. To put this in perspective, we’ve had eight sets of twins born here in the New Life Center in the past 10 months. August was an extraordinary month for us!”

First-time mom Khristapher Patterson (pictured) of twins Liam Christopher and Kendrick Hayes Nelson said she is thankful to have healthy baby boys, each weighing more than five pounds.

Additionally, the White County Medical Foundation recently initiated the “Miracles Happen Every Day” campaign to raise funds that will benefit the New Life Center. Funding will be used to help purchase an advanced fetal monitoring system, as well as equipment for the New Life Center nursery, and to make improvements in patient suites.

If you or your business would like to support the White County Medical Foundation to provide advanced healthcare technologies and renovations for the New Life Center, please contact the Foundation Office at (501) 278-3191 or via e-mail at foundation@wcmc.org.
