White River Area Parkinon’s Disease Support Group

The White River Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group will host a seminar to be held on April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon in Suite C of the Josephine Ray Rogers Center located in the front part of White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.

Some of the planned speakers are Karla Wilson from WRMC, who will be speaking on fall prevention, Miss Tee Adams, an experienced caregiver, will also be giving advice and helpful tips on caregiving for Parkinson’s patients. Dr. Kenneth Chan, a neurologist from the NEA Clinic in Jonesboro, Arkansas will be the key speaker, providing much needed information on Parkinson’s disease.

A representative from Teva Pharmaceuticals, makers of Azilect, a drug used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease will be in attendance, with printed information on the disease to be distributed to the attendees. They will also be providing refreshments for this event.

All patients, caregivers, family and friends are encouraged to attend this informative meeting.
