The Arkansas State University Wind Ensemble will present its first concert of the 2013‑2014 season on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall.
This concert is free and open to the public. The ensemble is directed by Dr. Tim Oliver, director of bands and associate professor of music.
The program will include: “Homage to Perotin” by Ron Nelson; “Divertimento for Winds and Percussion” by Roger Cichy; “Finale” from “Symphony No. 1 in G minor” by Vasily Kalinnikov; “Molly on the Shore” by Percy Grainger; and “March” from “ Symphonic Metamorphosis” by Paul Hindemith.
