Wood Family of Dealerships raise record number of shoes for Best Foot Forward

Batesville, Arkansas – August 18, 2015 – The Wood Family of Dealerships have continued their partnership with the United Way and Best Foot Forward. This year, thanks to our customer, we were able to donate 114 pairs of shoes for local school kids.

“The third annual United Way Stuff the Bus and Best Foot Forward campaigns were a huge success again this year.” stated Allison Phelps, Executive Director of the United Way of North Central Arkansas. “Thanks to our sponsors, volunteers and donors we were able to provide over 8,000 items of school supplies and 335 pairs of athletic shoes to the Batesville, Cave City,Cedar Ridge, Southside, and Midland School Districts.”

Ms. Phelps also stated, “I was overwhelmed and so proud by the number of volunteers who showed up on Saturday, August 1st to help us with this event. The turnout of volunteers illustrates the necessity of this program and the generosity of the shoppers at Walmart and our corporate sponsors helped us make a huge impact on these schools and ensured that each student can start school with the supplies they need to be successful this year.
