Work on Interstate 30 Requires Lane Closures in Little Rock

Crews performing utility design work along the Interstate 30 corridor in Little Rock will require ramp and adjacent roadway lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Design work on the 30 Crossing project will require lane closures in select areas along I-30. Weather permitting, this work will occur during daytime hours Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

On the Westbound I-30 exit ramp to 2nd Street, crews will close the right turn lane onto 2nd Street. Vehicles will still be able to turn right at the stop sign.

On the frontage road and adjacent city streets, various lanes and shoulders in Little Rock will be closed during the week, including lanes on the westbound I-30 frontage road at 3rd Street and 4th Street, westbound 6th Street at Ferry Street, westbound Capitol at the frontage road, and the eastbound I-30 frontage road at 6th Street.

Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage. Non-interstate traffic will also include flaggers. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone.

The 30 Crossing project (Job CA0602) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program. More information on the CAP is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
